Adaptive goat grazing to meet your unique land management goals

Our Services

Fuel Load Reduction

We use goats to target high fire risk areas around buildings, parks, and roads. The natural abilities of our herd create fire-breaks and reduce ladder fuels all while improving soil and reducing the use of gas powered equipment. The goats are happy to eat woody browse, thorny plants, and other flammable shrubs that most animals find less palatable or difficult to eat.

Invasive Species Mitigation

Our grazing animals will target invasive and problematic weeds, promoting healthier ecosystems and reducing the need for chemical herbicides. Goats are specially adapted to browse and graze on plants with high levels of toxins that most animals avoid. Their specialized stomachs also destroy seeds as they digest, preventing the spread of harmful plant species.

Soil Restoration & Erosion Control

As a result of our management style, we are able to put carbon back into the ground and encourage different plant species. By using temporary fencing and small paddocks, we are able to condense and control the herd’s cumulative effects on each area we graze. This allows for a more even distribution of hoof disturbance and manure. We can even use the shape of our paddocks to encourage “softening” of eroded areas.

Goats as a modern land management solution

Our mission is to utilize multiple species to reduce fuel loads, manage invasive weeds, and enhance soil and ecosystem health across California. We are dedicated to providing sustainable land management solutions which promote biodiversity, mitigate wildfire risk, and cultivate healthier environments. Through adaptive and responsible grazing, we aim to protect our communities, restore native landscapes, and support long-term goals of ecosystem health and resilience.
